Certifications are a great way to show mastery of new skills, and becoming certified in certain marketable skills can give graduating students and professionals an edge in today’s competitive hiring landscape. Employers are always looking for professionals who have additional skills to further develop and diversify their teams.

5 Types of Certifications Offered through MyEducator

Did you know that several MyEducator resources offer certifications through our partnering authors and institutions? These certifications look great on graduate program applications, LinkedIn profiles, and résumés. In many instances, all that’s required to obtain the certification is a competency exam related to the material students are already learning in their course. Students can use these resources to certify on their own, or instructors can use these certifications as supplements for their existing curricula.

1. Certificate of Achievement in Excel, Access, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, or SQL

Students receive a Certificate of Achievement when they complete the final examinations in their Prometheus Series resources. Students are given three attempts to pass their final exam with 85 percent or higher.

2. Sales Certifications: Selling, Strategies, and Leadership

Following the completion of each course, students can take a Griffin Hill certification exam. With a passing grade, students receive a certificate from Griffin Hill, certifying their competence in Professional Selling Essentials, Advanced Selling Strategy, or Sales Leadership.

To learn more about the material covered in each resource and more opportunities available to students, check out MyEducator’s blog post, Selling Is Everywhere—And Sales Is for Everyone.

3. Human Resource Certifications: SHRM and HRCP Exam Certifications

Get your HR students certified! MyEducator has partnered with HRCP to host their Human Resource Certification Preparation Program, which has training material and practice exams to prepare students and HR professionals for either the SHRM certification or the HRCI certification exams.

Your students can become trained, skilled, and certified HR associates in your program. These certifications are an ideal option for a capstone, or you can use them to supplement your HR courses.
