Introducing AI-Powered Marketing Strategy

We’re living in the age of AI. AI-based skills are becoming highly sought after and can give potential hires a leg up in a competitive job market. With the growing importance of AI skills, many authors are aware of the need to incorporate AI practice into their learning resources. One resource that answers this call is AI-Powered Marketing Strategy. In this resource, authors David B. Whitlark and Michael J. Swenson provide practical, application-based assessments, giving students powerful and marketable skills.

Real-World Application Through AI-Based Activities

Throughout AI-Powered Marketing Strategy students will encounter “Do Marketing with AI” activities. These assessments give students opportunities to practice using AI in real-world situations, “help[ing] students learn to use AI effectively and responsibly in their future careers in marketing,” explains MyEducator editor Aspen Moore. With how quickly the world of AI is changing, staying up to date on trends in both the application and the ethics of artificial intelligence use can be difficult; AI-Powered Marketing Strategy provides students with guidelines for both.

The “Do Marketing with AI” activities give students an objective to accomplish with AI’s help, step-by-step instructions on how to use an AI-powered marketing tool, and tips on how to make the AI tool more effective and useful to the student. Students learn how to work with the AI tool as a thinking partner, rather than having AI do the work for them. Each activity has the student analyze and assess the AI tool’s role in completing the given objective, refine their prompts, and push the AI for its reasoning and its most relevant responses. In the process, students don’t just learn how to write a prompt for AI, but how to overcome AI’s inherent flaws and bring out its most useful features.
